My list of gorgeous flowers could continue on and on. Spring in TN has been BEAUTIFUL this year! Actually, it went from winter to summer-like temperatures for awhile, but it made the blooms that much more vibrant and fragrant.
I'm not a studied green thumb by any means, but I'm learning more and more each season about which flowers grow where, what blooms the best in certain conditions, and which flowers trail, mound, grow upright, etc. My mom is an excellent planting 'guide' (she has gorgeous flower gardens and a yummy veggie garden) and has passed her love of gardening on to me.
Every year, Michael and I have planted something new around our home (perennials) and it's been a joy watching the sprouts return each spring. We also add a few annuals (marigolds, petunias, zinnias, gerber daisies, etc.) in pots and around the walkway for added summertime color. This year I'm trying my hand at growing some fresh herbs (basil and rosemary) and possibly a tomato plant or two as well.

Our front walkway. . . so proud of this! When we bought our home, there were only a few green/prickly front shrubs. I returned home from a 'road trip' with my bestie the summer of 2002 to find that the hubby had completely stripped grass and made a beautiful pathway edging to our home complete with monkey grass and lighting. I just LOVE that man!

Another summertime project completed a few years later. . . kudos again to the hubby for stripping grass, mulching, and creating a great planting space!

Don't you just love this cute birdhouse? It was a spring/Easter gift from my grandmother. There's a little nest inside with two lightly speckled eggs!
The den (is that the right word?) of bunnies under our deck enjoy coming out in the evenings. . . we love watching them hop around the yard outside our kitchen window while eating dinner.
In my book, there's nothing more inviting and satisfying than fresh flowers in the home. Fresh- cut tulips and blooms from my grandmother's snowball bush are the decor this week :)
Cole's daisies are growing from his Lowe's Build-And-Grow project. He's so happy!
I pray you are enjoying watching God's creation in bloom all around us as well; but most of all I pray it reminds you of a few promises from His Word:
