Can't Wait

I've got a little boy that seriously cannot wait to begin homeschooling.  He's counting down the days until August and asks daily if he can start doing some schoolwork.  Gotta love him!

I pulled out my old first grade workbooks (I used them to make copies for my entire class so the pages were still blank) and let Cole go to town.  He read all the instructions by himself and was entirely self-sufficient.  Most of the pages were too easy - it's going to be a challenge to challenge this boy!  He continually amazes me. . .

I cannot put into words how happy it made my heart to sit with him at the kitchen table, quiet house, just the two of us talking about math and reading.  It just felt right. . . so wonderful to know that this is the path the Lord has for our family during this season.  I must say that I'm counting down the days until August as well.  Guess I better get busy!
