Showers of Blessings

The countdown has begun. . .

Only three more weeks until the big day - well, not MY big day, but the celebration of my brother's marriage to his beautiful bride Laura.
After close to a year of planning, the date is drawing near and that means one thing - showers and parties galore!

Laura and Kyle have been blessed by friends and family with numerous showers and this past Saturday was my turn :)  Alongside family and ladies from my mom's Sunday School class, we enjoyed treating the soon to be Mrs. Gregory to an afternoon of fun, food, and gifts.  To our surprise, Kyle was home for most of the shower and got to enjoy the festivities with Laura before heading out to photograph a wedding for another lucky couple (and he actually ENJOYED himself among the women. . . that's a great groom!).

Congratulations Kyle and Laura - we can't wait until June 26!

Sweet friends of my mom's that helped me prepare all the goodies!
My aunt made the cupcakes and monogramed cake. . . so yummy!

Favor boxes for the guests
Delicious treats with a towel cake made by Mrs. Margie at the center

The happy couple
So excited to finally have a 'sister'!  Can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for our families - we hope to share many memories together!
Before opening gifts, we played 20 questions with Laura.  I had already asked Kyle 20 random questions about himself and Laura had to answer.  For each WRONG response, she had to chew a piece of Double Bubble gum.  She did pretty well - only six pieces!  I honestly don't think she could've fit any more in her mouth and continued to talk :)
One of her favorite gifts - a Ninja.  New to me, but a really cool kitchen gadget!

The bridesmaids - minus Maritza.
L-R:  Kelly, Carolyn, Amanda, Laura, Adrian, Madeline (Laura's sister)
My mom with her future daughter in love
For those inquiring minds, Kyle and Laura are having an outdoor evening ceremony at Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN with a garden reception.  It's going to be beautiful!  Michael, Cole, and I are in the wedding. . . hopefully I'll be able to post PLENTY of pics (if I'm not chasing after a little ringbearer most of the evening :)).
