It's so nice living close to wonderful outdoor activities that our family can enjoy. Trips to the lake, park, and walking distance playgrounds provide the perfect ending our summer days. One thing we've loved lately is taking advantage of the public school playgrounds. A picnic dinner + playtime + ice cream run = wonderful evening!
My favorite playground to visit is Gene Brown Elementary which is only minutes from our home. The entire play area is shaded (amen!) and there are lots of fun things for Cole to explore. I also love it because it's where I spent 6 years teaching first graders. . . going back with my son is such a surreal feeling!
Give the boy some sticks and he's a happy camper!
