As soon as August 26 hits, it's 'bring on the birthdays' for my family. All of my immediate family members (with the exception of Cole) celebrate their special day between the end of August and September. It's a fun, crazy, busy month! Here's the rundown...

Whew!!
A few years ago, my mom decided to treat all of us to a special dinner each year to mark this occasion. We've visited Morton's Steakhouse, The Melting Pot, Maggianos, Jimmy Kelly's, and Ruth Chris. This year we headed to Buca di Beppo for our evening together. The fun atmosphere and great food were the perfect touches for a memorable dinner. We dined on apple/gorgonzola salad, mixed green salad, garlic bread, spaghetti and meatballs, prosciutto stuffed chicken w/ pesto, garlic mashed potatoes, tiramisu, and chocolate cake. We were also surprised by our waiter with a b'day cupcake for each one of us...even one for Cole :-)

WoW!! I'd say all those clustered significant dates demand a celebration!! How fun!! :)
So exciting! What a big month for you family. Glad you got to go out and celebrate together. And, the apple gorgonzola is totally a fav for John and I!! I bet Cole really loved their fun walls and walking through the kitchen.
