End of one chapter, Beginning of another

October 31, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. the Johnson clan officially closed a chapter of our story. We met with Sandi (BEST realtor), Jeff (mortgage specialist), and closing agent at Hallmark Title in Hendersonville to sign the closing papers on both homes. We couldn't believe the day had arrived!

It was deja-vu as we sat around the table and immediately took me back 10 years ago (Nov. 30, 2001 to be exact) as Michael and I sat in a similar room, blue pens in hand, ready to sign our life away - or so it felt. I remember leaving school early that Friday afternoon and meeting him just down the street on Shivel Dr. to close on our first home. We were excited and anxious to take such a big step in creating our new life together. Thinking on that day makes me smile. . .

Now here we are, a decade later, ready to embark on a new journey.

The mood in the room that afternoon was so easy, peaceful, and fun. Yep, fun. We laughed, joked, reminisced about the past month, spoke of the Lord's goodness, talked of church/salvations/baptisms. . . oh yes, we Johnsons gonna bring up Jesus!
(Go easy. You know you talk ghetto sometimes too)

Signing our life away again :)
You want me to pay what?!?!

Michael putting his John Hancock on the Deed of Trust - it's officially ours!
* clarify * it's the Lord's - we're so thankful He's entrusted it to us

Now. . . let the moving begin!
