Getting Settled

Everyone keeps asking, "Are you settling in?"

Yes, we are, but it will be awhile before things are normal (whatever that is. . . ha!) and it feels like home. Boxes are slowly being unpacked and furniture is being placed.
I think once I can really begin decorating (hanging pictures, placing accessories, curtains, etc.) it will really begin to take shape and have that warm, welcoming vibe that I love so much. For now, we feel thankful and blessed, but the atmosphere is still a little bare and cold.

One thing that for sure warms my heart is watching Cole and Cade in our new space. A bagillion times a day Cole says how much he loves our home. . . especially the school/bonus room. He wants to begin school NOW :)
He's also been a pro and slept in his upstairs bedroom by himself since night one. A big answer to this mama and daddy's prayer.

Cade has also settled right in and loves to hear his voice echo. Greeting this smiley face every morning makes a few of those treks across the house during the night worth it :)

First morning/breakfast

This cracks me up. I'm sure he's thinking, "We have to unpack ALL of that!?"

It wouldn't be the same without pulling out the markers

Being the lovely friend that she is, Regina stopped by to bring us lunch. First playdate!

Looking forward to new memories made. . .
