Passing the Torch

or should I say passing the key. . .

Last Sunday, at the buyers' request, we stayed at home while the soon-to-be new owners came for their final walk-thru. It was an odd request (or so we thought) that they wanted to meet us at the house, but we obliged and are so glad we did.

Meet the Argos

A sweet middle aged couple with grown children and grandchildren (grand'boys' to be exact. . . love it!). A couple that love Jesus and even attend church WITH us - the Lord never ceases to amaze!

As they toured the house, Mrs. Argo told me all about her furniture and where she was planning on placing certain items. Our dining room will be a music room for her and will house her mother-in-law's baby grand piano (she was a professional player). Cade's room will be an office and Cole's room will be for guests. They can't wait to drink coffee on the back deck, their favorite part of the house, and watch Fox news in the morning while reading the daily newspaper.

Spending those short 30-45 minutes with this dear man and woman gave me such joy. Instead of feeling like I was leaving our home to strangers, it brought wonderful peace knowing they will love and treasure it as much as we did. I even joked that perhaps Cole will come take piano lessons from her one day. . . now wouldn't that be quite the story!

The Lord's hand continues to be revealed as He intricately pens our story. . .
