Trip to the Zoo

Last Thursday, Michael took the day off from work and we headed to the Nashville Zoo. We had been once before (April 2008) and it was so much fun to see the difference that a year makes. Last year, Cole had just begun walking well and was more interested in the plants and mulch than the animals. That all changed this year as we had to constantly keep up with his little legs and watched him with amazement as he talked to, waved at, and studied the animals.

Kyle also came along and offered to bring his cameras. We are so glad he did! Not only did we get some amazing shots, but it was nice to just enjoy the day and not worry about capturing every moment...I even got in a few shots too (which is so rare!). Kudos to my sweet bro for taking such wonderful pictures for us.
We bought a zoo membership and can't wait to go back. We got the Family package and our membership will pay for itself if we visit just one more time...a great deal! With our package we can also take a guest with us each time that will get in free. This is great for grandparents and other family that want to experience the zoo with us. A great way that we are going to use our membership is to go in the evenings after his nap (cooler and less crowded) and just let him play in the HUGE Jungle Gym and ride the carousel.
